Talking to Shana, Brende said ground is prepared for dialogue between representatives of Iranian and Norwegian oil industry envoys to expand cooperation.
He said Iranian representatives have welcomed to be present at an exhibition in Norway and said Deputy Minister of Petroleum for International and Trade Affairs Amir-Hossein Zamaninia will travel to Norway to take part in an international oil and gas seminar.
He said in Norway, Zamaninia will talk with Norwegian companies, so the opportunity will be available for more investigations there.
Touching on his talks with Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zanganeh, Zamaninia said the two sides had discussed cooperation in energy, especially oil and gas industries.
He said Norwegian companies are highly eager to come back to Iran.
Norwegian Foreign Minister arrived in Iran Wednesday morning.
He had already met Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
A landmark deal between Tehran and world powers, which was signed in July last year and came into force in January, saw many international sanctions on Iran lifted, reopening the countrys economy to a stream of investments across a range of industries including financial services, consumer electronics, and renewable energy, according to fDi Markets.
The primary investing countries in Iran during this period were South Korea and Germany, which together have a capital expenditure of $2.15 billion.
Iran has attracted $5.168 billion in foreign direct investment after the implementation of the nuclear deal, government spokesman Mohammad-Baqer Nobakht said on August 8.
