Tehran, July 31, IRNA � Secretary of human rights headquarters of Judiciary Mohammad Javad Larijani said on Sunday that Iran refuses to accept UN special human rights rapporteur and believes that appointing UN special human rights rapporteur for Iran is illegal.

Asked about regular cooperation of the headquarters with government bodies, Larijani promised that the headquarters would exercise regular cooperation with the bodies to enforce the citizen rights charter.

The citizen rights charter is in a series promises made by President Hassan Rouhani in the election campaign.

The bill of citizen rights charter, though belatedly, was approved by the cabinet ministers and was passed by the parliament, according to which the political crime is distinctive of the ordinary crimes and the constitutional rights about freedom of expression are upheld.

He made the remarks in a press conference on the occasion of 'Islamic Human Rights Week'.

Larijani said that the western human rights is separate from the Islamic human rights.

He said that the Islamic Republic of Iran believes that democracy and democratic mechanisms will guarantee human rights and that the western governments must accept cultural diversity making impacts on human rights.

He rebuked the western governments for their support for MKO, a terrorist group.

Larijani said that Iran presented 20,000 documents to the United Nations about people killed by MKO.

He drew attention of the international community to a wide range of Shia ethnic-cleansing in Nigeria and the case of Ayatollah Ibrahim Zakzaky.

He deplored the unjust western media campaign to stir up Islamophobia.

Larijani said that defending rights of Sheikh Zakzaky is important, it was being perpetrated in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and such systematic human rights violations and Shia killing and sectarianism are deplorable.

Iran's human rights record is better than that of the countries in the region.

He criticized UN human rights rapporteur Ahmed Shaheed for media campaign against Iranian human rights record.

Larijani said that after presence of NATO in Afghanistan cultivation of narcotics increased 40 times and Iran believes that major part of budget to support terrorists is provided by drug-trafficking.
