Saudi warplanes have carried out a series of fresh airstrikes against residential neighborhoods across Yemen, but�there is�no immediate reports on possible�casualties and extent of damage.�

They fired several missiles at various areas in Razih�district of the mountainous northwestern province of Sa�adah on Thursday morning,�Lebanon-based Arabic-language al-Ahed news website reported.

Saudi warplanes also launched several airborne attacks against al-Dhaher district in the same Yemeni province, but no immediate reports of casualties were available.

Additionally, Saudi aircraft launched two airstrikes against Kuhlan district of Yemen�s northwestern province of�Hajjah, though no reports of casualties were available.

The developments came only a day after five Saudi border guards were killed, when Yemeni army forces�backed by allied fighters from Popular Committees mounted two separate attacks in retaliation to Saudi Arabia�s deadly airstrikes.

The guards were killed as Yemeni snipers targeted them on the borders regions of al-Rabuah�and al-Khuba�in Saudi Arabia's southwestern province of Jizan.

Yemen has been under military strikes by Saudi Arabia since March 26, 2015. The Saudi war was launched in a bid to crush the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi � who has resigned as Yemen�s president but seeks to grab power.

The Houthi Ansarullah fighters took over state matters after Hadi�s resignation and his escape from the capital, Sana�a.
