Tehran, April 27, IRNA � Iranian cinema is capable of attracting global audience, said an Iranian-American director in an interview published by Iran Daily on Wednesday.


'Achievements made by Iran's cinema in the last three decades led to the country's success in the global arena,' Mohammad Zarrindast told the English daily.

'A lot of people in the world are interested in Iran�s cinema,' said Zarrindast, a producer of low-budget works such as 'Death Flash' and'�Hardcase and Fist'.

The filmmaker also said continued attempts to have a brilliant presence in international film festivals will make Iranian films famous.

'Although festivals are proper venues to attract global audiences, international film markets specialized for presenting new cinematic products can be another option, he added.

The 34th edition of Fajr International Film Festival took place from in Tehran's Charsou Cineplex from April 20- 25.
