Tehran, March 15, IRNA � First Vice President Es'haq Jahangiri in a telephone conversation with Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on Tuesday expressed sympathy over the terrorist blast in Ankara, saying that countering terrorism requires international collective action.

Occurrence of consecutive terrorist explosion in various points across the world signifies the increasing growth of terrorist groups against global peace and security.

'I express condolence on the bitter event to your Excellency and Muslim Turkish government and nation and I also wish God's blessing for the victims and speedy recovery for the wounded,' he said.

The Iranian government and nation strongly condemn the heinous and inhumane measure, Jahangiri said, noting that they will remain alongside the Turkish nation and government in the fight against terrorism.

'Iran and Turkey are both victims of terrorism and the two countries understand the need for fighting the evil phenomenon,' he said, adding that cooperation between the two countries can help uproot terrorism from the region.

During the telephone talks, Davutoglu said, 'I feel happy to see the Iranian nation and government standing beside me on these hard days.'
He put the number of dead at 37 and wounded at 113, saying that identity of one of the attackers has been revealed. He is a member of PKK.

The terrorist blast once again revealed terrorist nature of the group, Davutoglu said, noting that PKK's attacks on civilians indicate change in tactics of the terrorist group.

'Such terrorist attacks will never make Turkey give up its stance against the PKK and we will never step back from the path,' he said.

The Turkish prime minister also called on all countries, neighboring states particularly, to join hands and unite against terrorism.
