Tehran, Feb 7, IRNA - Tehran University in a ceremony on Sunday acclaimed Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif for his meritorious services leading a diplomatic settlemment to Iranian nuclear dispute lingering over the past 12 years.

Professor Mahmoud Nili Ahmadabadi, the President of University of Tehran conferred a certificate of merit on the foreign minister.

'Your outstanding efforts to lead the nuclear talks to a favorite outcome will be registered in history and both the current generation and the future generations will appreciate.'

He said that the endeavours the foreign minister made to resolve the nuclear dispute with diplomatic campaign serve the international peace and security.

He said that success of nuclear talks was made available thanks to collective efforts of the negotiating team.

The nuclear talks and its success put forward a new model to the world leaders that diplomatic settlement of the international disputes serves peace and security of the world community, the Tehran University president said.
