Tehran,�January 4, The Iran Project � An Iranian official says Iran is the only Muslim country being capable of producing some drugs raw materials. �

Abbas Kebriaei Zadeh, the head of the Iranian Human Pharmaceutical Industry Owners Syndicate, on Monday noted the efforts made in the pharmaceutical industry particularly after the imposed Iran-Iraq war, saying that the country's powerful infrastructure in strategic drugs' manufacture has made it the only Muslim county being capable of producing some drugs raw material.

Referring to country's record of manufacturing all types of drug molecules, he retreated that Iran has made remarkable progress in the biotechnological productions ever since the establishment of the Council for Biotechnology in 2004.

"Fortunately Iran has taken effective steps to export the productions to Iraq, Russia and Eurasian countries," he added, hoping that the country enhances the productions' exports to other countries in post-sanctions era.

Earlier, the�Secretary of Tehran Pharmacists Association had announced that Iran is among the first 15 world states in the pharmaceutical industry.
