US must face trial on Daesh creation: Iran judiciary chief

The Iranian judiciary chief has condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Lebanon and France, stressing that the US statesmen should stand trial for the creation of Daesh terrorist group.

The US statesmen should not only be reprimanded but they should stand trial for supporting terrorist groups and creating Daesh, Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani said on Monday.

He added that Western countries, particularly the US, and all countries in the region which support Daesh Takfiri group should be held accountable for the recent terrorist crimes.

The Iranian judiciary chief lashed out at Western countries and their reactionary allies in the region for supporting Daesh, al-Qaeda and other terrorist groups.

Europeans and Americans must stop exporting terrorists to the region, Amoli Larijani said, warning that terrorism will come back to haunt Western countries that backed it.

The Iranian judiciary chiefs remarks came in the wake of terrorist attacks in the French capital, Paris, and Beirut, the capital city of Lebanon.

Daesh has claimed responsibility for the deadly assaults.

More than 130 people were killed and roughly 350 injured, nearly 100 of whom in critical condition, after assailants struck at least six different venues in and around the French capital late on Friday.

In another terrorist attack on Thursday, 44 people were killed and nearly 240 others were injured when two large explosions rocked a security post in Hussaineya Street in the crowded Borj al-Barajneh neighborhood in a southern suburb of the Lebanese capital of Beirut.
