New York, Oct 1, IRNA � Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi underlined the need for starting talks on a comprehensive nuclear convention, and said that the nuclear states should take responsibility for nuclear disarmament in the world.

'The nuclear states are solely responsible for nuclear disarmament in the world,' the Iranian deputy foreign minister said.

He urged the nuclear countries to fulfill their legal duties pertaining to nuclear disarmament.

Araqchi, speaking on behalf of the Non-Aligned movement, said that ushering in talks on a comprehensive nuclear agreement is a righteous and legitimate demand by the NAM.
