Beijing, Sept 15, IRNA � Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif in a meeting here on Tuesday assured his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi that Tehran-Beijing cooperation will be expanded after lifting of anti-Iran sanctions.

Despite sanctions against Iran and the obstacles on the way of bilateral relations, Tehran and Beijing continued cooperation, said Zarif.
He stressed that Iran will keep boosting ties with China during the new era (post-sanctions era.)
The two should strengthen and deepen bilateral ties after the July 14 nuclear agreement in Vienna, said Zarif.
He further appreciated China's role during the intensive nuclear talks with the six world powers, adding Beijing played constructive role during those negotiations.
Iranian and Chinese presidents have held meetings repeatedly during the past two years that indicates importance of cooperation between the two, Zarif noted.
Also, the Chinese foreign minister said the Vienna nuclear agreement created a proper atmosphere for Iran.
Iran's foreign relations witnessed remarkable development, Wang Yi said.
China as Iran's friend welcomes such atmosphere, said he.
During the meeting, the two foreign ministers also discussed the ways to implement the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA.)
Zarif heading an Iranian delegation arrived in Beijing on Monday night.
On July 14, Iran and world's six major powers known as the Group 5+1 (the US, Britain, France, Germany, Russia and China) concluded their over a decade-long negotiations on Tehran�s nuclear activities which led to the signing of the JCPOA.
According to the text of the document, the anti-Iran sanctions will be removed in exchange for some limitations on the country�s nuclear energy program; Iran will be recognized by the United Nations as a nuclear power and will continue its uranium enrichment program.
Iran has repeatedly announced that its nuclear activities aim at peaceful purposes.
