Berlin, Sep 2, IRNA -- Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh on Wednesday hailed the Iranian nuclear accord, saying it paved the
way for a greater regional dialogue.

Speaking at a news conference with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Berlin, Judeh labeled the July 14 Vienna agreement 'important' for keeping diplomatic and political communication channels open.

He voiced hope that the Iran deal would result in 'a more comprehensive and greater dialogue in the region.'

Judeh's remarks were underscored by Steinmeier who expressed confidence that Iranian nuclear accord could also help resolve other conflicts in the region.
Meanwhile, Judeh reiterated that 'the core conflict' in the region was the Palestinian conflict.

He said the conflict was a destabilizing factor in the Middle East.

Judeh urged the need to revive the stalled Mideast peace process.

On Syria, Judeh said the only solution to the five-year-old civil war in that country was political.

He also emphasized that Syria's territorial integrity had to be preserved.

Prioritizing the need to defeat terrorism and extremism in the region, Judeh said that fighting terrorism was a global challenge.
