Key to Syria crisis is not in terrorists' hands: Speaker

Tehran, Sept 2, IRNA - Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said it will not settle the crisis in Syria if the key of Middle East is given to terrorists.

He made the remarks on Tuesday in a meeting with his Syrian counterpart Mohammad Jihad al-Laham on the sidelines of the 4th World Conference of Speakers of Parliaments in New York, sponsored by the Geneva-based Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
He said the Islamic Republic of Iran deems it a duty to support the government and people of Syria until the background for dialog and peace will be ready.
The Syrian speaker hailed Iran's stand against terrorism in Syria and said, 'The resistance movement will be victorious because it is based on ethical principles.'
Al-Laham also criticizied UN special envoys and international mediators for not observing impartiality in the Syrian crisis and said, they speak of peace but in action do differently.
