Tehran, Aug 23, IRNA � Majlis (Parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani renewed Iran�s support for the Palestinian nation and cause.

�The Islamic Republic of Iran supports all Muslim oppressed nations, including the Palestinian nation,� Larijani said in a meeting with Head of Mauritania-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Group in Tehran on Sunday.

Larijani reiterated that the extremist and terrorist currents are committing different crimes in the Muslim countries and the Muslim states leaders should pay sufficient attention to the return of Muslim world to unity and solidarity.

Larijani pointed to potential capacities, including parliamentarian approaches for the expansion of relations between the two countries in different areas, and said, �Parliamentary relations in influential in the expansion of bilateral ties in different political, economic and cultural fields.

�The Iranian parliament supports expansion of ties at different levels,� he added.
