TEHRAN (Tasnim) � Iran�s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Mohammad Reza Fayyaz said the recent conclusion of nuclear talks between Tehran and world powers would ease tensions in the Middle East.

�The agreement of Iran with the (Group) 5+1 countries is actually in favor of all the world community, specifically the region,� Mohammad Reza Fayyaz, said in an interview with the (Persian) Gulf News daily on Monday.

Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) on July 14 reached a conclusion on a lasting nuclear agreement that would terminate all sanctions imposed on Tehran over its nuclear energy program after coming into force.

�We are really serious about this agreement,� Fayyaz said.

On August 3, Qatar�s foreign minister reportedly said the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) welcomed the agreement.

The Iranian Ambassador said the implementation of the agreement will allow for greater cooperation between Iran and its Persian Gulf and Middle East neighbors.

�We are really eager to tell our neighbors that we can cooperate with each other,� Fayyaz said.

Elsewhere in the interview, he described the ISIL terrorist group and other extremist groups in Iraq and Syria, including the Al-Qaeda affiliate Al Nusra Front as being �disastrous for our region�.

Back on July 17, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a message to foreign ministers of Muslim countries underlined that the nuclear deal can help promote cooperation among regional countries.

"Undoubtedly, with the diplomatic settlement of a fabricated crisis over Iran's nuclear program, a suitable opportunity has been provided for regional and international cooperation," Zarif said in his message on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
