The head of Tehran Provincial Penal Court has said that a verdict has been issued in the case of former Tehran Prosecutor Saeed Mortazavi.

Mohsen Eftekhari further said that the verdict will be made public by weekend [Thursday].

He declined to reveal more details about the ruling and said that he is not legally allowed to talk about the details of the verdict.

[Saeed Mortazavi, who was also a director of the Social Security Organization when Ahmadinejad was in office, was on trial, among other things, for fraud and corruption.]
