Harare, July 30, IRNA � Minister of Labor and Social Welfare Ali Rabi'ie who is the Iranian head of Iran-Zimbabwe Permanent Joint Commission said here on Thursday that Iranian firms are ready for making investments in Zimbabwe.

Rabi'ie made the comment during the opening ceremony of Global SMS Expo 2015 exhibition, accompanied by the Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe, adding that the two countries' shared stands on global developments and especially their opposition against oppression in the world necessitates broader Tehran- Harare cooperation.

He expressed satisfaction over participation in the opening ceremony of the small and medium sized Zimbabwean companies' capabilities exhibition in Harare, further stressing that Iran-Zimbabwe relations are quite strong and based on mutual respect.

Rabi'ie emphasized that the Zimbabwean people and President Mugabe have very bright records in campaign against colonialism, which is why the Iranians feel high respect for them.

The Iranian head of the two countries' joint commission said that the presence of Iranian firms and cooperatives in Zimbabwean exhibition shows Tehran's enthusiasm for expansion of ties and cooperation with Harare.

President Mugabe and the Iranian minister before participation in the opening ceremony visited the various parts of the exhibition, especially the Iranian booths in it.

28 Iranian small and medium sized companies and cooperatives are participating in Global SMS Expo 2015 exhibition which will conclude its activities on Saturday.

The Iranian labor and social welfare minister arrived in Harare on Sunday evening at the top of an economic, industrial, commercial and cultural delegation to participate in the 8th Session of Iran-Zimbabwe Joint Permanent Commission and the opening ceremony of the Global SMS Expo 2015 exhibition.

The 8th Session of Iran-Zimbabwe Joint Permanent Commission will conclude its activities today (on Thursday) and Rabi'ie will then leave Harare for Tehran.
