Islamabad will complete the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline, also known as the peace pipeline, because it seeks to meet its growing energy needs, Pakistani Information Minister Pervez Rashid said.

He added that despite intense international pressures on Pakistan in the past few years, Islamabad has never backed away from the implementation of the project and that the recent nuclear agreement has paved the way for Pakistan to speed up the completion of the pipeline project.
