Tehran, June 14, IRNA � Iranian national volleyball team defeated heavyweight Russia in Kazan, Russia on Sunday in FIVB Volleyball World League.

Iran beat the hosts in three straight sets (25-20, 25-18 and 25-21)

Iran had also defeated Russia 3-1 in their previous game on Saturday.

Iran has been pitted against Russia, Poland and the United States in Pool B of the competitions.

With tonight's win, Iran has is now on the third place of its pool with 7 points.
