Tehran, June�1, The Iran Project - Public relations of Intelligence Ministry denies the reports quoting Iran�s Minister of Intelligence Seyyed Mahmoud Alavi as saying �some groups involved in the elections are scrambling to replace me.�

In a statement on Sunday, the Public Relations office of Iran�s Intelligence Ministry rejected the quotation as a �sheer lie,� adding the Ministry will certainly pursue the case through legal channels in due time.

Some news website quoted Iran�s Minister of Intelligence Seyyed Mahmoud Alavi on Saturday as saying �some groups involved in the elections are trying to find a replacement for me.�
