TEHRAN (Tasnim) � Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said the recent nuclear agreement reached between Tehran and world powers in Lausanne, Switzerland, was not �perfect�, but at the same time described it as a �balanced� agreement.

In a Wednesday interview with Washington Post�s reporter David Ignatius in New York University, United States, the visiting Iranian foreign minister described Swiss Statement as an agreement that does not reflect all the needs of everybody.

�Obviously, if you wanted an agreement that reflected every need of every player in the room you�ll never have an agreement,� Zarif said, speaking in front of a large number of university students.

He further noted that although the agreement was not a perfect one neither for Iran nor for the US and EU partners, but �it�s the best anybody can get�.

Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) reached a framework nuclear agreement on April 2 in Lausanne, Switzerland, with both sides committed to push for a final deal until the end of June.

The framework provides a series of solutions to the differences that will be the basis of a comprehensive joint plan of action.

According to the framework agreement, the nuclear-related sanctions imposed on Iran by the UNSC, the European Union and the US will be removed.
