Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has again criticised Russia's decision to supply Tehran with S-300 missiles, and said his government will take any necessary steps to defend Israel.

Russia earlier this month decided�to lift a ban on weapons exports to Iran, a move that would allow Moscow to fulfill a 2010 deal to supply Iran with a missile defence system. Netanyahu says the agreement threatens Israel's security.

Benjamin Netanyahu,�Israeli Prime Minister:�"Every year, including yesterday we see the military parade in Tehran and Iran's exhibition of weapons to the world. Every year the missiles are bigger and enhanced - in accuracy, strength and deadliness; however, one thing does not change. What does not change is the inscription 'Death to Israel' on the missiles. Against the threats that I have described, Israel will do whatever is necessary to defend the security of the state and its citizens."

Netanyahu also said the tentative deal between Iran and six world powers reached in Switzerland on April 2 lacks reference to Iran's aggression. Iran and six world powers including the United States reached a framework accord on Iran's disputed nuclear programme this month and will resume negotiations in Vienna this week aiming to reach a final deal by the end of June.
