TEHRAN, Apr. 11 (MNA) ��AEOI Spokesman has said a delegation from Russian Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation will arrive in Tehran on April 21 in regard to a deal on the construction of 2 power plants in Bushehr.�




Spokesman of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Behrouz Kamalvandi told IRNA Iran�s cooperation with the Russian Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation is proceeding well and the Russian delegation will arrive in Tehran on April 21.


�During the visit of Rosatom delegation, negotiations will be underway for joint cooperation in construction of the two power plant as well as the production of nuclear fuel,� he said.


Kamalvandi stressed that the two sides will definitely start the construction of the power plants in Bushehr during the current Iranian year (starting March 21, ending Feb. 19).


Kamalvandi and the Russian Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation senior officials have recently discussed Tehran-Moscow nuclear cooperation in March.


Kamalvandi had previously estimated that the construction of the two nuclear power plants would start sometime in March 2015, noting that the major part of the initial construction would be carried out by Iranian companies.


Under an agreement signed in Moscow on November 11, Russia is to build two new nuclear power plant units in Iran.


Moscow will also cooperate with Tehran on developing more nuclear power units in Iran, and consider producing nuclear fuel components there, according to a memorandum signed by the heads of the state atomic bodies, Sergey Kirienko of Russia's Rosatom and Ali Akbar Salehi of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization (AEOI).


Iran already runs one Russian-built reactor in its Bushehr power plant which is now fully connected to the national grid and covers part of the country�s needs for electricity.
