Vice-President and Head of Iran's Department of Environment, Dr. Masoumeh Ebtekar[/caption]Tehran, March 18, IRNA Vice-President and head of the Department of Environment Ma'soumeh Ebtekar said on Wednesday that Orumiyeh lake is manifestation of peace and friendship among world nations.
The sensitivity shown by the international community and world governments on revitalization of Orumiyeh lake is very valuable to Iran, she said.
She made the remarks in a ceremony of signing an agreement with the Japanese government to revitalize the second phase of Orumiyeh Lake.
The second phase of the operation to revitalize Orumiyeh Lake will be carried in cooperation with the United Nations and the Japanese government themed sustainable agriculture, she said.
Revitalization of Orumiyeh has many ups and downs and Iran and Japan are currently involved in the second phase of operation to that effect, she said.
