Saudi Arabia and Qatar have moved their embassies inYemen fromthe capital ofSanaa tothe former capital ofSouth Yemen, Aden, Saudi Arabian newspaper Asharq al-Awsat reported.
"All other embassies ofPersian Gulf countries will also begin their work inSouthern Yemen afterfacilities are prepared forthem," a source fromthe Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), a forum ofPersian Gulf monarchies, told the newspaper, adding that the GCC will provide Hadi withall necessary means toovercome the present situation.
Meanwhile, the Ansar Allah movement which seized power inYemen earlier inFebruary announced that Hadi is a wanted man and that it is coordinating a search forhim together withthe country's security forces.
"Abd Rabbuh [al-Hadi] won't succeed. He isn't welcomed inthe south, or even the army and security force. He has no political blueprint ofvision. What he has is directives fromthe West and fromGulf countries," a high-ranking member ofthe movement told RIA Novosti onWednesday.Yemen's deposed president, Abd Rabbuh Mansur al-Hadi fled Yemen's capital onFebruary 21, afterwhat Yemeni media said were negotiations mediated byIran and Oman, inwhich Hadi allegedly promised torecognize the new Houthi government inexchange forhis release. However, once he was inAden, Hadi declared that he considers the Houthi government's decisions "illegal" and withdrew his resignation.
