Tehran, Jan 17, IRNA -- Afghan president has added his voice to the condemnation of French magazine Charlie Hebdo for printing yet another insulting cartoon of Islams holy Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).Ashraf Ghani on Saturday rapped the blasphemous move as an insult to the scared religion of Islam and the Muslim world.
According to TNA, he further described the magazines decision to publish the cartoon as irresponsible.
Ghani also condemned the January 7 attack on the magazines headquarters in the French capital Paris, in which 12 people were killed.
The satirical magazines new cover has angered millions of Muslims around the world and sparked mass demonstrations in many Islamic countries.
The French weekly has repeatedly provoked Muslim anger by publishing such offensive cartoons.
Some five million copies of the new edition of the satirical magazine were sold this week in the wake of the Charlie Hebdo attack.
An al-Qaeda branch in Yemen claimed responsibility for the attack on Charlie Hebdo. The group said it chose and supported Said and Cherif Kouachi, the two brothers who allegedly carried out the deadly assault.
