'Anti-Iran sanctions damage European economies'

TEHRAN, Jan. 07 (MNA) The head of Italian Chamber of Commerce has said sanctions against Iran have damaged European and especially Italian companies.
Silvano Pascuno who was speaking on the sidelines of the first Italian Special Exhibition in Tehran International Permanent Fairground on Wednesday, said that Italian companies had participated in the exhibition with prescience of Irans economic conditions; Irans market and economy enjoys high potentials of growth, a fact that has lured Italian companies and tradesmen not to ignore its potentially profitable perspectives; we have decided to participate in the exhibition in next year with twice or trice as the present number of companies, he told the press.


Sanctions against Iran has damaged European especially Italian companies; Italian company has cooperated in participation of companies in the exhibition, and after close examination of conditions we are willing to cooperate in industry, machinery, and other sectors of Iranian economy, said the head of Italian Chamber of Commerce, admitting that we need Iran now.


The first Italian Special Exhibition is the first of its sort. Italian companies have showcased the most modern and advanced hi-tech capabilities and products in construction material, indoor architecture and decoration, city planning, and counselling services of inside decoration.


The exhibition is the first such event by a European country, which highlights the special place of the Islamic Republic of Iran in terms of business and economic interactions with EU countries, who would seek immediate presence in Irans market following possible removal of economic sanctions.
