Persian Gulf province considers projects with Iranians abroad
Bandar Abbas, Hormuzgan prov, Jan 3, IRNA The Persian Gulf province of Hormuzgan is considering projects with Iranian experts living outside the country, an official said.
According to the Chairman of the High Council on Iranian Expatriates Affairs Qavam Shahid, Iranians living abroad have for the first time since the advent of President Hassan Rouhanis government regularly participated in the activities in their respective native provinces to have a share in the process of development and progress there.
He said Iranian expatriates are considering 13 joint projects in the province of Hormuzgan in south of the country as well.

He noted that preliminary executive stages of the projects have already started.

The official referred to a number of tourist projects, building hotels, purchase of electricity from Bandar Abbas floating power plant, building of a 10-megawatt power plant at Qeshm Island and establishment of Hormuzgan province development fund as a number of these projects.

Shahidi here on Saturday reaffirmed the government's determination to fully support the Iranian investors residing overseas.

Shahidi had already said that the council has special plans for the Iranians abroad who can invest in the motherland.

If the Iranian investors are fully supported, he added, they could be considered as proper financiers in the economic arena.

He also said that the council has plans to invite Iranian expatriates to make investments in the provincial projects and the economic development projects.
