Kuwaiti delegation due in Tehran today

TEHRAN (FNA)- A delegation from the Kuwait-Iran Friendship Association is scheduled to travel to Tehran later today to confer with senior Iranian officials on the expansion of bilateral ties.
Association's Secretary-General Adnan Al-Rashed told KUNA on Friday that the Saturday's visit would be paid following the Kuwaiti Amir's visit to Tehran in June; a mission that bolstered "confidence and political action between the two countries on bilateral and regional issues, in particular".

Al-Rashed went on to say that such visits serve to boost "the bonds of friendship and cooperation with the Iranian people."

Iran and Kuwait have sought to expand bilateral ties through exchanging several high-ranking delegations in the last few years.
