TEHRAN (Tasnim) Iran came second place in the 7th Sanda World Cup on Friday held in Jakarta, Indonesia.The Iranian delegation won six gold medals and one silver and came second behind China.
Host Indonesia finished in third place.
Soheila Mansourian in the Women's -52kg, Shahrbanoo Mansourian in Womens -70kg, Jafar Shirzad in Mens -65kg, Hamid Reza Lador in Mens -80kg, Hamid Reza Gholipour in Mens -85kg and Mostapha Khalatbari in Mens +90kg won the gold medals and Maryam Hashemi in Womens 65kg claimed a silver medal.
A total of 57 athletes from 18 countries and regions took part in the World Cup from November 20 to 21.
