TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Defending champion Iran lost to Portugal in the 2014 Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup on Tuesday.
In the match was attended by Iran football coach Carlos Queiroz at the Jumeira Beach in Dubai, the Iranian team lost to Portugal 4-2.

The Iranian outfit has been drawn in Group A along with host the UAE, Portugal and Morocco.

Iran will play the UAE on Wednesday.

Group B consists of USA, Russia, Brazil and Japan.

Results: Brazil 10 USA 3; Russia 9 Japan 3; Morocco 4 UAE 3; Portugal 4 Iran 2.
