Kerman, Oct 24, IRNA � An earthquake measuring 5.3 on Richter scale jolted surrounding areas of Faryab city in south of mid-south province of Kerman on Friday.
According to the report of seismography center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 16:08 hours local time (12:38 hours GMT) and its epicenter was at 34.57 degrees latitude and 77.27 degrees longitude and in depth of 14 kilometers underground.


Governor of the city said that the tremor had no damage in the town.

Bahram Amiri told IRNA that the quake occurred 38 kilometers far from the city.

Faryab is located 330 kilometers south of Kerman city.
