�TEHRAN (Tasnim) � Iranian President Hassan Rouhani congratulated Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad Ameen Madani on the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Adha.
"I congratulate Your Excellency on Eid al-Adha, the most beautiful manifestation of devotion and obedience," President Rouhani said in a message to Madani.



He also expressed the hope that unity, friendship, and peace among Muslim nations would be promoted more than ever.

Eid al-Adha (Feast of the Sacrifice) is one of the biggest religious festivals of Muslims. Every year, Iranians, like other Muslims around the world, hold special ceremonies to observe the auspicious day.

People from different walks of life go to mosques to participate in Eid al-Adha prayers. They also sacrifice sheep and cattle to celebrate the �Festival of Sacrifice.�
