Dushanbe, Sept 12, IRNA � Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Friday morning met Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and discussed with him bilateral ties.


The two head of states also confered on latest regional and international developments.The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit meeting in the Tajik capital, Dushanbe.

Turkmenistan president is the special guest of the meeting.

President Rouhani is scheduled to deliver a lecture at the SCO summit and meet the Russian President Vladimir Putin on the last day of his tour of the region.

He will also attend a luncheon given to his honor by the Tajikistan parliament speaker.

Rouhani arrived in Tajikistan on Wednesday to attend the 14th SCO summit in Dushanbe.
