Iranian film to be shown in Warsaw Film Fest
TEHRAN, Sep. 09 (MNA) The Iranian film, Neurasthenia, directed by Amir Tootoonchi, will be shown in the International Competition section of the 30th Warsaw Film Festival.
Neurasthenia is Tootoonchis debut feature film that will compete against other works in this festival.


The film is about a 25-year-old mansuffering from depression. He visits a psychiatrist as advised by friends and starts analyzing his problems with the family and society.


Neurasthenia is a psychological disorder that denotes a condition with symptoms of fatigue, anxiety, headache, neuralgia and depression mood.


The aim of this festival which is held on 10-19 October is to discover young talents and introduce them to the world before their attendance in Cannes Festival.


In 2009 the Warsaw Film Festival became one of 14 events recognized by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (www.fiapf.org) as international film festivals - besides Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Locarno, Moscow, etc.


Warsaws grand prix for the international competition is 30,000$, and the best director in this competition will be rewarded 3,000$.


Previously in this festival, other Iranian films such asTaste of Cherry[Abbas Kiarostami],Through the Olive Trees[Abbas Kiarostami],Children of Heaven[Majid Majidi], andModest Reception[Mani Haghighi] have been put on display.
