Iraqs Kurdish officials say ISIL Takfiri militants have massacred around 100 members of the Izadi minority in a village in the north of the country.The militants are also believed to have kidnapped women and girls in the village of Kocho, 45km (30 miles) from Sinjar in northern Iraq.
Officials of Iraqs Kurdistan Regional Government say the atrocities occurred in only one hour on Friday.
Survivors say the terrorists wanted the Izadis of the village to convert to their faith over the past few days, before they conducted the massacre.
The ISIL militants have killed at least 500 members of the Izadi ethnic minority of Iraq over the past days.
It is believed that they buried some of the victims alive, including women and children.
Local Kurdish intelligence sources say they have received information that the captured women are being sold to traffickers between USD 500 and USD 43,000 to work in bordellos across the Middle East.
Several women have reportedly been forced to marry the ISIL militants.
The Takfiri militants have captured thousands of women, including at least 1,200 females from the city of Sinjar.
The UN refugee agency is stepping up aid for thousands of Izadi Kurds taking refuge in Syria.
Some 15,000 Izadis are staying in the Newroz camp near the al-Qamishli district of Hasakah Governorate in Syria.
The ISIL terrorists have been committing heinous crimes in the captured areas of Iraq, including the mass execution of civilians and Iraqi security forces.
