TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian announced that the country will transfer the Palestinians injured during the recent Israeli attacks on Gaza to Tehran once Egypt opens the Rafah border crossing.
"We held good and useful talks with the Egyptian deputy foreign minister on Gaza," Amir Abdollahian told FNA on Tuesday after holding negotiations with the Egyptian official who visited Iran yesterday to participate in an emergency meeting of the foreign ministers of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) to discuss the aggravating conditions of the people in the Gaza Strip.

"Egypt is making efforts to play a constructive role in this stage," he added.

Amir Abdollahian underlined that the problem of transferring the injured Gaza women and children to Tehran and sending Iran's humanitarian aids to the Palestinians will be obviated after the grounds are provided for passing through the Rafah border.

In relevant remarks on Sunday, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry in a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif said his country will ease dispatch of Iran's aid, including foodstuff and medicine to the Palestinian people in Gaza soon.

"The conditions will be facilitated for the dispatch of Iran's medical aid and foodstuff to the people of Gaza very soon," Shoukry said in the telephone conversation.

Zarif, for his part, underlined the need for the international community's all-out pressures on Israel to halt its attacks on the defenseless Palestinians.

He noted that Iranian hospitals are ready to accept the injured Palestinians, and said, "The Egyptian government's immediate help, specially to expedite dispatch of foodstuff and humanitarian aid to Gaza, will be very effective."

During the telephone conversation, Zarif and Shoukry underlined the need for proper measures by the international bodies to stop Israel's aggressions against the defenseless Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Israeli warplanes have been pounding numerous sites in the Gaza Strip since July 8, demolishing houses and burying families under the rubble. Israeli forces also began a ground offensive against the impoverished Palestinian land on July 17.

The Israeli attacks have killed at least 1,865 people and injuring over 10,000 others in the past 29 days, most of them women and children.
