Tasnim � An American author and researcher described the House of Saud as �ruthless�, stressing that the regime is desperately trying to keep a firm grip on power through �absolutism� and �religious fundamentalism�.





�The House of Saud is ruthless, they maintain internal power by absolutism, using a twisted set of laws in the name of Islam that is not Islamic at all. They wield power by a technique of very strict social controls cloaked in religious fundamentalism usually described as �Wahhabism� in the Western mainstream media,� Walt Peretto from Washington told the Tasnim News Agency.

Walt Peretto is an American writer, researcher, analyst, and sociopolitical psychologist. He is a regular contributor to Press TV and he writes for several online news magazines. He is also working on a book that will introduce the groundwork for sociopolitical psychology which is the study of the behaviors behind social systems and their interactions.

Tasnim: As you know Saudi Arabia�s King Salman recently appointed his 31-year-old son Mohammed bin Salman as crown prince, placing him firmly as first-in-line to the throne. The monarch stripped Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, who had been positioned to inherit the throne, from his title as crown prince and from his powerful position as the country�s interior minister overseeing security. What�s your take on this?

Peretto: It's difficult to state with precision what was inside the mind of King Salman when he decreed that his son Mohammad bin Salman will ascend to crown prince---but we can reasonably assume that he sees something in his 31-year-old son that was lacking in Mohammed bin Nayef. It has been reported that the young age of the new crown prince may be used to give young Saudi citizens a glimpse of hope that he may be more �liberal� regarding domestic policies---it�s speculative whether this is the case. We do know that within the Saudi Royal Family, positions of political power, as well as lines of succession to the throne, are positioned and repositioned in accord with keeping the House of Saud firmly planted in power by preventing any effective resistance from emerging within their own citizenry, while maintaining a favorable standing with the Western Bloc nations that are led from their financial hub in London, their military hub in Washington, and their �police precinct� in the Middle East based in Tel Aviv. Saudi Arabia, through cooperation with the foreign policies of the Western Bloc, as well as by supplying copious amounts of oil to the world markets traded in US petrodollars, continues to stay on the �good side� of the West. It is countries that have traditionally remained outside of the Western Bloc that have become victim to violent invasions perpetrated by the West in recent years like Afghanistan, Iraq, and Libya---or are currently under attack in places like Syria and Yemen---or are verbally threatened like Iran, and arguably Russia and China. Strategically, Saudi Arabia is a very important component of the Western Bloc, and arranging the Saudi Royal Family in a way that best assures favoritism from the West will likely remain their strategy.

Tasnim: Following the decision, several Saudi princes were put under house arrest and still tight security is in place. Do you believe that the House of Saud will continue to take the helm of the power in the Arabian Peninsula country?

Peretto:The House of Saud is ruthless, they maintain internal power by absolutism, using a twisted set of laws in the name of Islam that is not Islamic at all. They wield power by a technique of very strict social controls cloaked in religious fundamentalism usually described as �Wahhabism� in the Western mainstream media. Ironically, it is Islamic fundamentalism that is often blamed on numerous false flag events perpetrated by Western intelligence agencies like the CIA, MOSSAD, MI5 and their corporate and governmental collaborators. Yet, Saudi �fundamentalism� is more than tolerated as long as they remain firmly in the pockets of the West. Saudi Arabia cooperated in the crimes of September 11, 2001 as accessories after the fact by acting as the �nationality supplier� of almost all of the alleged �hijackers� portrayed in the official narratives. Yet, there is no evidence that the Saudis wired World Trade Center buildings one, two, and seven for demolition prior to 9/11---it was most certainly the work of the new ownership of the complex led by Larry Silverstein and his friends in government and in the corporate world who were in charge of security before and on 9/11. The main impetus of the crimes of 9/11 remain an excuse to invade Afghanistan, Iraq, and other nations targeted for regime change and absorption into the Western Bloc control-grid. As long as the House of Saud remains cooperative and collaborative with the criminal elements based in London, Washington, and Tel Aviv, they should remain in power as long as these criminal organizations are able to operate unchecked.

Tasnim: The new crown prince is famous for his aggressive policies. Experts have expressed concerns that his impulsiveness could be dangerous and can make the region more insecure. What do you think? How would Iran-Saudi Arabia relations be affected under him?

Peretto: I believe the appointment of the new crown prince and his reputation for aggressiveness in foreign policy is a strategic move to intimidate counties like Iran and Syria by ascending someone to an influential political position who has already come with a reputation for bloodthirst for his aggression against Yemeni civilians. While Yemen is being bombed from the air by the Saudi military and Syria is being torn apart by mercenaries funded and trained by the Western Bloc (commonly known as ISIS in English language Western Bloc mainstream media), Iran remains the most impenetrable nation in the region to date. Yet Iran remains the big �prize� that is going to take more than just placing operatives within their boundaries. Gone are the days when Iranian election results can be overturned by a coup orchestrated by the CIA as we saw in 1953 when they installed the Shah as dictator to do the bidding of the West and its corporate interests. Generally speaking, I think the strategy of the West is to topple Assad in Syria, before putting a full effort into Iran. In the meantime, the Western Bloc (including Saudi Arabia) was been quite vocal in their war of words against the Tehran government. In the United States, President Trump said that Iran is the most dangerous nation threat to America---in a sane world, these allegations would be levied against the House of Saud, the �City of London,� and Tel Aviv---instead of Iran.

Tasnim: It seems that bin Salman�s aggressive foreign policy has failed to yield the desired results as the Saudi regime�s ongoing aggression against Yemen has been a complete failure against revolutionary people there. What do you think about the regime�s war on Yemen and the new foreign policy?

Peretto: Yemen is politically fractured to a large degree and remains defenseless against airstrikes from Saudi Arabia. I believe that the House of Saud is using Yemen as a testing ground for expanded aggression in the region in the future, while �softening� up Yemen in the hope that they eventually solidify politically into a regime that becomes �Western friendly.� Keep in mind that the people behind the entities that the House of Saud bows down to�based in London, Washington, and Tel Aviv, are pathologically and insatiably driven to establish a one world system of control over all of the world�s people and natural resources. The only way I see of keeping these well-organized criminal elements from expanding into a one world dystopic system is to understand psychologically why they are so insatiably obsessed on complete domination of the world. It�s important to understand that a small percentage of the human population are born without the physiological ability to feel empathy, guilt, or remorse. How else can you plan and execute the crimes of 9/11 that killed 3,000 innocent people that day, or the orchestration of regional violence around the world, and the destabilization of entire nations, forcing mass migrations of refugees, and funding both sides of major wars, which has been the case since the French Revolution? These organized psychopaths also control the corporate mainstream media in the West, so you are never going to receive a challenging or accurate critique of their policies, motives, or pathologies. It is up to all of us who can feel empathy for other human beings to become educated on how the world really operates and the psychological and pathological factors that fuel it. I feel this is the only way to effectively combat the encroaching �New World Order� that they openly espouse. If we do nothing, they will be successful. To save what is good about humanity, we all need to remove the blindfolds over our eyes placed on us by pathological people and their agents and begin to see reality.
