Michel Aoun, new Lebanese ministers meet Iranian ambassador

TEHRAN, Feb. 29, (MNA) – Gen. Michel Aoun and three new ministers of Lebanon have met Iranian ambassador to Beirut Friday night at Iran’s embassy.
Lebanese leader of the Free Patriotic Movement, General Michel Aoun who is also the main nominee for the upcoming presidential elections of the country, the new minister of Foreign Affairs Jibran Bassil, the new minister of Education Elias Bou Saab and the new minister of Energy and Water Arthur Nazarian in a meeting with the Iranian ambassador to Beirut, Ghazanfar Roknabadi, discuss bilateral relations between the two countries and also the recent regional issues including Syrian crisis.

Persian service of IRNA reported Saturday morning that in the meeting leader of the Free Patriot Movement of Lebanon dubbed regional situation as sensitive and emphasized that Iranians’ unification is the main reason for its ongoing successes in different fields.

Iran’s ambassador in the meeting also talked about Iran’s nuclear negotiations and regional issues especially Syrian crisis.

Roknabadi reminded Islamic Republic’s permanent policy in relations with different political parties and held that resistance against the usurper Israeli regime is the main agenda of the Islamic Revolution.

He added that “supporting the resistance against the usurper Israeli regime is the main touchstone for the Islamic Revolution to get in touch with the other countries and political parties.”
