Iran is currently looking for the passive defense system, that would allow minimum of damage in case of war, head of Iran's Civil Defense Organization General Gholam Reza Jalali said, ISNA reported.

"Our duty is to protect the lives of people in crisis conditions," Jalali underscored. "Other countries rely on various mechanisms as far as passive defense goes. This is a very important issue for us, that requires concrete steps."

Aside from passive defense, Iran has been increasing its offensive arsenal, introducing new military achievements.

A few weeks ago Iran unveiled a new domestically made sniper rifle, and several armored vehicles.

Iranian officials have stated on numerous occasions that in case if Iran is attacked, a powerful response will follow.
