Conference on World Order and Just Peace calls for restructuring United Nations

Tehran, Sept 21, IRNA – Conference on World Order and Just Peace said on Saturday that the current world order has major flaws putting peace and security in the international community at risk, calling for restructuring the United Nations.
The Conference sponsored by Iranian Foreign Ministry said that the world is facing serious problems, caused by unfair distribution of resources in the international community, and the mishap has been imposed on various sectors in the course of centuries so that the world government should undergo restructuring to enable the international community to restore justice, the dire need of humanity .

The Conference, which was held in the Institute for Political and International Studies said that in order to establish fair peace, major reforms in the structure of the international system and the capacity of the world body must be well identified and used properly.

The Conference underlined that mutual respect and equal right, envisaged for governments and nations, would be possible in light of elimination of destructive effects of hegemony on the international institutions responsible for upholding international law.

It sought contribution of the elite worldwide into founding ideals and fundamentals of the important goal.
The statement emphasized that just peace is the right of all nations and human beings and due to the same purpose, all have the responsibility to establish a different and favorable world, free of terrorism, colonialism, occupation, threat, interference and sanctions.
