- An Iranian conscript on Sunday fatally shot five fellow soldiers at a military camp in the southeastern Iranian province of Kerman.

According to The Iran Project, the Commander of the Iran Army’s Southeastern Regional Headquarters General Amir Gholamalian said the conscript entered the camp at 6:35 p.m and opened fire on soldiers who were resting and then escaped.

In this incident, 5 soldiers lost their lives and 2 others were injured, he stated.

Gholamalian said that an investigation has been started to uncover the motives behind the shooting, and efforts are underway to arrest the conscript.
