IRNA – Iranian president expressed solidarity with the Indonesian people and government over the fatal earthquake which claimed the lives of hundreds of people.

In a message to Indonesian President Joko Widodo on Sunday, President Hassan Rouhani expressed sorrow for the tragic disaster in the southeast Asian country.

He condoled with the bereaved families of the victims and wished immediate recovery for the injured.

Indonesian officials say that 832 people were killed in a powerful earthquake and tsunami on the island of Sulawesi, dispatches reported.

Two days after the 7.5 magnitude earthquake hit the island, the death toll has continuously risen and authorities say more bodies could still be recovered.
