IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani returned home late on Wednesday, ending his day-long visit to Oman and Kuwait.
In Muscat, the president held talks with Sultan of Oman Qaboos bin Said al Said on the issues of mutual interest as well as the latest regional developments.
The two sides also urged further consultations between the two countries to maintain peace and sustainable security in the region.
After Muscat, President Rouhani visited Kuwait City, where he conferred with the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Ahmad Jaber al-Sabah on the bilateral cooperation and coordination to establish security and stability in the region and help promote development of regional states.
Prior to his travel to the two regional countries early on Wednesday, President Rouhani told reporters at the airport that Iran welcomed the essence of the message of the six Persian Gulf littoral states delivered to the country by the Kuwaiti government, which focused on removing misunderstandings and improving relations.
