The leaders of Russia and Iran exchanged opinions about the Syrian crisis and fight against terrorists, Sergei Lavrov said.





MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani discussed cooperation on Syria during their meeting in Baku, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Monday.
"The sides have discussed the Syrian issue, the course of the implementation of the ceasefire and Syrian humanitarian assistance program. The main focus of the meeting was on the implementation of the UN Security Council resolutions, including the fight against Daesh and al-Nusra Front, (both outlawed in Russia)," Lavrov said at the press conference following the first trilateral summit of Russian, Iranian and Azerbaijani leaders in Baku.
