Tehran, July 4, IRNA – An official with Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO) welcomed promotion of marine tourism.


Mohammad Rastad told IRNA on Monday that his organization encouraged those active in tourism and industrial units manufacturing vessels to enhance their activities in marine tourism.

He said the PMO was making every effort to ensure that marine tourists enjoy safe and well-guaranteed trips to the sea.

The official further noted that a meeting will be held next week between vessel builders and marine tourism organizations to coordinate efforts to promote marine tourism conditions.

He said the focal point in this regard is the safety of tourists who are keen to visit Iranian islands both in the north and south of country.
