9 Mar 2016 - 15:43

Tehran, March 9, The Iran Project – Along with the massive condemnation by Shia Muslims over the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council's move to blacklist Hezbollah as a terrorist organization, Iranian senior clerics deeply denounce the decision, stating that Israel is already the unofficial Secretary General of Arab League.

In his weekly teaching session on Wednesday, Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirzai, Iran’s senior cleric said Israel is already the unofficial secretary general of Arab League as it has labeled the arch enemy of the regime, as a terrorist.

Expressing surprise over the Arab states' decision, the Shia senior cleric noted that they list a group as terrorist which is the honor of Arab world and if it didn't exist, Israel had made life miserable for them.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Makarem underlined the Israeli warm welcome of this accord adding that Arab's officials are enslaved by Israel.

In similar comments, Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani severely criticized the decision reiterating that Hezbollah is Islam's supporter against Israeli regime.

"The PGCC made up of a bunch of states agreed to introduce Hezbollah as terrorist while they have nurtured Takfiri terrorist front in the region and killed massive number of people in Yemen and Bahrain", the senior cleric stated, emphasizing the move as a measure against Islam.
