Council of Europe to launch archeological cooperation with Iran

Tehran, Dec 9, IRNA – Council of Europe as the main pillar of scientific and research activities of European Union (EU) plans to cooperate with Iran's Research Center for Cultural Heritage and Tourism in the field of archeology.
  The issue was discussed during a meeting attended by the Head of Archeology Research Center Hamideh Choobak, Jan Van der Made from Madrid National Museum and Andria Picin, a researcher with the University of Jena in Germany.
They also discussed implementation of Cultural Heritage and Tourism Center's memorandum of understanding with Spanish Catalonia-Tarragona Institute of Human Paleoecology and Social Evolution.

They also dwelt on exploring Kaldar Cave in Lorestan province.

The Spanish delegation comprised Jan Van der Made, one of the most eminent paleontology researcher with 186 articles and Picin, a researcher of University of Jena.

The MoU was signed by ICHHTO’s Research Center and IPHES. The two sides have agreed to cooperate in the fields of research, training and publications.
